Camden Climate Fund
Local businesses and institutions account for 66% of Camden’s carbon emissions, therefore it is important Camden’s organisation’s take a leading role in reducing their energy consumption. The Camden Climate Fund supports small to medium business and third sector organisations across the borough cut their carbon emissions and lower energy bills.
Up to £10,000 is available towards the installation costs of renewable technologies and/or energy efficiency improvements. Such measures include solar panels, lighting and lower carbon heating upgrades. Successful applicants are required to match-fund 50% of costs, plus any additional over the maximum allowance.

The Contemporary Dance Trust applied to the Camden Climate Fund to support a £20,000 lighting refurbishment project for two of their studios. This allowed them to purchase and install low energy LED’s saving energy usage as well as futureproofing the fixtures to help deliver on their ambition to be a net carbon zero building by 2030. The project helped to reduce more than 1 tonne of CO emissions.
