Single use plastics

Significantly reduce the use of single-use plastic with the aim of becoming a single-use plastic free school

Actions you could take:

• Encourage students to carry a reusable water bottle everywhere they go
• Raise awareness about waste related to snacks (which are normally harder to recycle)
• Develop a culture of single-use plastic free pack lunches
• Work with your caterer to reduce/ eliminate single-use plastic from school meals
• Teach students about how to reduce/eliminate single-use plastics at home
• Encourage students to create a campaign for their peers
