Just Transition Accelerator Programme – Register by 25 September
Start Up Discovery School is an organisation supporting start ups aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals through innovation programmes and corporate partnerships.
Start Up Discovery School in partnership with Capital Enterprise and funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, has launched a new suite of programmes for business owners tackling local sustainability issues called ‘Just Transition’.
Just Transition is a new suite of programmes, designed to support businesses through mentorship, funding, and network connections. They have a specific focus on businesses based in London who are working in areas such as:
- energy efficiency and building homes
- sustainable and affordable energy generation
- waste reduction and recycling
- biodiversity and environmental quality
- low emission transportation and sustainable mobility and;
- green skills/jobs
The first in their suite of programmes, the Just Transition Accelerator programme has recently opened for applications. So, if you’re a business owner working on any of the above challenges, then you may be eligible for £7500 in grant funding with possible further funding of up to £15,000* (*conditions apply).
Alongside additional benefits which include: further personalised 1:1 mentoring, opportunities to trial solutions with local authorities, participation in a diverse range of start up workshops and access to membership in local co-working spaces in Camden, Islington, and Lambeth.
Businesses have until 25th September to register their interest in the accelerator programme.
